Does almost make you wonder how quick it would be driven smoother/better.

The car runs the new Goodyear tires... Considerin they aren't all that large,
I wonder how much that had to do with it?

For the $$$ spent...around a race track..the car seems to be a pretty good value.

Naturally the 102 lbs less over the nose and stiffer springs (slightly lower too) had something to do with it, but the gen 2 GY supercar tires probably take the lionshare of the credit. That one has the SVT Performance Package.

Kinda pisses me off that when I bought mine in Feb I didn't know about all the changes for the 2011's.....

It looks like Ford did a great job of upgrading power aswell...since the 2011 have better cooling for the blower setup, bigger exhuast etc etc

I saw a vid with a stock 2011 putting down 500 rwhp :)

I'll have to see if my Jongbloeds/305r888 fit

I ordered a 2011 gt500 few days back.

I'll get to compare it to my Griggs gr40 car...should be fun :)

Nice!

Did you order the SVT Performance Pack option? It is interesting to see that the fronts are 19" and the rears 20" in this package and all are forged.

Most of the gt500 come loaded, and dealers are charging over sticker, sadly

Grey with strip deletes and the svt perfromance pac

Good color selection. And the SVT P pac is a must.

Not all dealers ask for over sticker...I got mine loaded; stripe delete, HIDs, electronics package/NAV/DZ climate control, and Shelby car cover. The only option I didn't get was the 1000 W sound system. MSRP was $51,270, including gas guzzler (which you won't have on your 2011), and I paid $49,990. (see pic)

Out of curiosity, what is your's going to cost you? Has Ford raised the MSRP and effectively added the gas guzzler tax to their margin?

That's definitely a mod that I'm considering...even if I don't do the pulley/idler mod...simply because I live in Houston....simply to keep the HP as advertised, but also potentially in preparation for a pulley/idler upgrade.

Congratulations! So I guess it isn't that uncommon to get them below MSRP? On MSRP for the 2011's, how much is the SVT Perf Pack?

I want to apologize to all subscribers to this thread.....my statement quoted above sounds like I'm whinning about my car.....instead of being thankful and grateful for being able to afford a GT500 AND get it below MSRP.
