Plenty of cars add power adders and last for 10's of thousands of miles. Far fewer power adders would be installed if that meant your "engine is on kill mode."

You guys are assholes... I mean any time you install apower adder, the engine is on kill mode. Stkjock, you are running 20psi and 800+ horsepower. No matter how well you've built the car it's not going to last forever. Everytime you floor that car and max out boost you've got a chance of detonation. If the guy wants to max out the stock block that's his money and his choice. So the guy's post isn't the most elegant. Who cares...

longevity of a motor on any form of forced induction is mostly in the tune.


i wouldnt think twice about hitting my 5.0 with a 150 if i had the clutch for it. and its my dd

Yes, it was a 2011 5.0L. It might have been a freak thing but I've seen the damage first hand. He wouldn't let me take pictures.....believe me I wanted to. Obviously I'm not afraid to push mine.

Im not tryin to blow the car up. I dont care if it blows up but its tuned by breenspeed now had it tuned before by another shop all I did was retune it and it picked up 20 more rwhp and 40 more ft lbs. tq the car shifts better and harder and runs hard but yea if it blows up, built 5.0 goin in for sure I just wanna see what these motors can handle and breenspeed is great they will do all my work from now on.
