After near nearly two weeks of my car sitting like this...

...my drive shaft cam in and I was finally able to finish installing my 8.8.

I have noticed that with the 3.5" drive shaft the engine seems to rev up quicker, and with the lsd in the 8.8 I can actually hook a decent rpm launch. I would have liked to have gotten 3.55s but for the price and convenience of picking up this 8.8 I won't complain about 3.31.

All of this means that now my only major weak link is the T5.

A side note to anyone wondering the shaftmasters 3.5" shaft with the GT 6 bolt flange costs the same as the GT shaft.

Good job man. New DS looks so much better than the stocker.
How difficult is it to swap DS? I was looking at mine and I have a h pipe with two m80s mid mounted before the over axle pipes. Not sure if mine will come out very easily. Thinking about that as my next mod.

The DS swap was pretty easy for me since I had the rear end out at the time.

The driveshaft comes out very easily...just bolted in. disconnect your mid-pipe if its not welded, drop and push to the side. Remove front flange bolts, and remove rear differential flange bolts. Remove center section mount bolts as well. Replace with aftermarket driveshaft, be sure to check pinion angle or else vibration can occur.
