sorry for my ignorance, but are you simply asking what type of headunit will fit your 2010?

Go with a double din touch screen head unit, you can get them just about anywhere. I suggest buying from a local shop and having it installed, or if you are familiar with electronics order the head unit and a wiring harness from eBay.

I've got a JVC KW-NT1 Navigation Touch Screen Double Din head unit in my car and I couldn't be happier! It has aux and USB in front, and you can plug in an iphone or ipod and it will charge/play simultaneously. Also comes with bluetooth for phone connection, and a microphone so you can set it up to talk handsfree through your sound system.

absolutely agree get a double din. after theyve come down in price, there is no reason whatsoever to buy a normal cd player.

yes you are spending extra, however you get

- screen

- nav

- bluetooth w/ phonebook

- ipod

if you know a little bit about electronics, wiring, and taking your car apart, its not a terrible install.

i run an older model pioneer and absolutely love the convenience factor, the ipod, and especially the added safety of the handsfree bluetooth when someone calls

Myself and a friend of mine had no problems with out double din aftermarket head units... the issue is in the wiring harness. You can't just use a harness for the mustang, you have to use one type of harness for the Shaker 500 system (which is what my friend had), and a different one for the Shaker 1000 System (which is what I had).

The stereo shop I use in Dallas has these in stock, but they are known for having every harness for any vehicle. I'm guessing some shops don't have or know that they need a specific harness to make the shakers work right.

Something to keep in mind and point out if you are getting this done somewhere.

Maybe the prob he's referring 2 is the face Plate for the 2010. Only thing that I've been able to come up with is using the face plate from ford with the nav unit. That should work. But I haven't tried it. Otherwise I haven't found one on the aftermarket yet.

good to know. I'm wondering, can u get the part number from them or the company who makes it so others can get it if needed.

Yes, I'm going back out there either tonight or within the next week, so I'll ask them for the part number while I'm there.

I only ask because the 2010 is not the same as the 05 through 09 the climate control and radio is all one unit so you would have to get a custom unit made
