Mike help me understand how the cage went from "there are some scratches but very minor" to the door bar being cut off. I think that the ad was misleading and if you would have posted the pictures that he posted noone would have bought the cage. Im sure im not the only one not understanding.

To be honest with you the car was disassembled and the parts were put in storage. We're trying to help our customer out and it has turned into a cluster fuck... some things I was told wasn't accurate. Unfortunately, we're not in the business of parting out cars and only did this to help a customer out... it has been a complete fucking waste of my time. I have a shop with 4 lifts, 3 techs, dyno, and a mail order business... I should have just told the customer no.

Well, I still havent gotten a call back from RPM on an estimate yet. I am about to the point of just getting my money back and mailing the cage back to Mike. So how about it Mike? You give me my full refund and i will take care of shipping. I swear on my life I will NEVER buy a used part again!!!!!!!!

Can you take it to a local welder and get it fixed up to spec? Ask around at your local track and/or your local speed shops. Anybody in the know will know a good local welder for roll cages.

I would have to have RPM to make me a bar to fit but then it would look like shit because i have no way of covering up the welds with the hydro carbon. If the cage gets sent back to RPM, they have a guy that will air brush the welds to make it look like it should

So RPM is the only place in the world that can weld pipe and/or do hydrocarbon coating? I'm baffled as to why you are so convinced that nobody else in the world can do the exact same thing. The fact is your choices are limited only by you and your lack of knowledge on how to research local resources.

Not trying to be a dick but shipping back something as bulky as a steel roll cage because of an issue like this is insane. Everybody and their brother is doing hydrocarbon coatings these days.

Oren there is a guy out towards Genkins that hydro dips Hitchcock's dip shop. I can't find a number. But they have a facebook page. I know it's a long shot.

I know oren personally and he is a stand up guy with a outstanding car. I can see why he doesn't want a piece just welded on to it to make it work.

Where in the hell did i ever say RPM was the only place to do hydo coating! I would honestly rather just get my money back and I myself will pay to ship this piece of shit back to mike. However, Mike said he would split me on the costs to get it fixed by RPM since its their cage. I dont know anyone around with a good name that I am willing to waste my time and money on trying to get it fixed. If the cage was described honestly about the condition it was in, I would have never bought the damn thing. And how is this insane? The damn thing isnt certified!!! Thats plenty enough reason to ship it back.

I appreciate the info Kyle but i would rather not waste my time and more money on someone i know nothing about and take a chance of the cage getting jacked up even more. If its going to get fixed, it will be through RPM.

I've read through this and I've been on your side being he never sent a picture of the part that was cut off. He even admitted that in one post prior. He was in the wrong I feel.

Here's where I have the problem now. You all agreed upon a resolution to have the cage fixed at RPM at whatever terms you all decided. Now because you're impatient, it's a piece of shit again, and you're back to bitching about the original issue.

He has agreed but until Mike refunds me the money for his half, the problem is NOT resolved. YES, i am very impatient when dealing with bullshit like i have been dealing with. And yes, this cage is a total piece of shit in its current condition. If you have a problem with me being impatient and bitching, then dont come in this thread. I have ZERO patience for bullshit! This should have never happened and it wouldnt have if the cage was accurately described.

If he wants to spend his money to send it back, let him. Does kind of sound like a crybaby, on the phone w/ paypal within hours. Then crying that RPM didn't pick up the phone on the first ring.

Way to introduce yourself with your first post NEWB! If you knew how stupid you sounded you probably wouldnt have said anything. Today makes 2 Full days that i have been trying to get something done about this situation. A situation that i shouldnt have to be dealing with.

"#2-I told you the passenger side was damaged and probably needed to be replaced so if I sent you a damaged one you were already warned that it was damaged and needed to be replaced."

What part of that is not accuratly described? Damaged and probably needs to be replaced!!!!! For 65% off list, you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Why was there no picture of the bar cut off? Saying the passenger side may need replacing doesn't justify the cage being sawed

Are you fucking serious???LMAO You have no clue what you are talking about. This was never mentioned to me. I was told just as everyone else was told: There are some scratches, and very minor at that. No one ever mentioned that the door bar receiver was CUT out with a SAW! Way to make yourself look like a dumbass AGAIN. I think we may need a FUKTARD moderator in here.

Hey newbie, you have no business here. The cage wasnt as described or havent you read what ive posted. the cage was described as having minor scratches, not having a door bar cut off. The original ad said nothing about the door bar being cut off or it being damaged. The only reason to cut the bar off is so that someone doesnt use it and look to blame you if it fails in a crash. Its a safety thing. If this would have been explained in the original ad again like i said before noone would have bought it. He has what, over 1000 bucks invested in the cage, id be impatient too.
