I think we can all agree fords go around backfiring and burning oil. Its embarrassing. Only 3900 for an electric motor, I might go with that.

All engines burn some oil Ford, Chev, Dodge etc.

For 12 years, my 05 was used as a DD by my wife for her 2.5 mile commute 3X week. It always had blue smoke at startup. Once I added the Edelbrock SC , blue smoke went away.

Interesting. Now that I think about it, I believe mine has stopped blowing smoke at startup since the turbo install. This may point to the pcv system rework. I'm assuming there is something of the same required on the Edelbrock SC??

The PCV plumbing was rerouted into the new throttle body, but stayed basically the same. I have no idea why the smoke stopped after the SC install, just an observation.
