Can I hook up a Bluetooth receiver board to the aux button wiring?

Searched up what the aux button does, found out it’s for a couple specific accessories and later model aux ports. I have one of those Bluetooth boards that’s supposed to hook up to the CD wiring, but I wanna know if I can connect it to the aux setup to make it more legit. Otherwise, can I make it work for just one of the disc options? Thanks in advance for the advice, I’m trying to keep the stock shaker 500 unit I think it fits the car well.

I had a little Dewalt Bluetooth receiver that plugged into the 1/8" aux jack in the console box. Worked great but no control thru the Shaker1000 head unit. Still had to control input thru my ipod.
If your board is controllable thru the cd buttons, I don't think the aux will work as it is really just a line input.

Yeah, the AUX circuit is just a feed input for audio, it doesn't allow any control.

Unless you're trying to keep the stock look, my advice is to replace the head-unit with a modern one. You'll get all the features (bluetooth, phone connection, etc) plus you can add GPS and hands-free. Head swap will still work with the Shaker500 amps and such. Most double-DIN receivers fit and don't even need a bezel and cleaning fit. Crutchfield will hook you up with everything.

I just plug into my console aux port tethered to my phone and hit aux on the dash and listen to my YouTube audio favorites or play my Sirius XM radio via my phone app when on road trips. Win Win over the plain FM stations with no modifications.
