"Notes concerning number of bolt holes in valve covers:
2005-07 4.6L 3V Mustangs were equpped with 14 bolt valve covers. 2008-present 4.6L 3V Mustangs are equipped with 8/9 bolt valve covers. Either valve cover will work on any year model. The 8/9 bolt covers will fit 2005-07 cars & 14 bolt covers will fit 2008-present cars. The covers offered by FRPP are the 8/9 bolt variety. "

Wouldn't there be less of a seal. Especially if your running a lot of boost.

Are you saying ford spaced the bolts more evenly around on the newer style valve covers. You would have to use the holes that are available on the valve covers. Mine has 14 yours has 8

It would not be an issue. The bolt holes are placed in the same location on the 07+ heads as the 05-06. They line up in the heads correctly. You don't hear of problems with valve covers on 07+ , they connect the same exact way as the factory 07+ connect. No worries.
