Has any one installed SPL LM's with the cervinis side out exhaust if so how does sound. The system currently has Pypes mufflers and it has very low note to it. It is louder, looking get a crisper cleaner sound (if possible), it sounds very old school street rod cherry bomb sound. Im not sure if needs different mufflers or changing the tip will do it. The first one I heard sounded great, had that signature mustang sound, just louder.

The kit I have says Cervins by Pypes embossed into the mufflers. Maybe they switched or go between the two, based on price or lead time. You would think they would sound basically the same.

Cervinis used to have mufflers from Magnaflow, but they switched over to Pypes not too long ago. I've heard of quite a few people that don't like the sound of the new Pype's mufflers. You might be able to modify some SLP LM's to fit if they are close to the size of the Pypes.

all SLP LM's are just straight pipes with polished tips. for the price of the SLP's you could have a muffler shop make you some piping with the same result. I have the SLP LM's and they dont sound crackly at all.

Ever set of SLP I have owned and my friends had is just raspy at high rpm's. Gets annoying I think.

Thats weird about the muffle swap with cervini. I was talking with them like 2 weeks ago asking if their side kit works with subframe connectors which it doesn't and they told me they use the maganoflow muffler.

they are selling the last of there kits with the magnaflow mufflers and after that they will be shipping the kits with the pypes

unless you ask for the magnaflow mufflers you will get pypes, we just ordered some for a friends car and requested the magnaflow

i have had mine for about a year sitting in my extra bedroom but don't want to install them because the roads suck around here and my headers already rub

Yes it is. I still have to install the PIAA fog lights, cause I have to fabricate a special bracket to hold them. I've been piecing my car together over the past year. The exhaust came from a guy in North Carolina, the front bumper from a guy in Texas, and the side scoops from another member. All the parts were already painted black also. The front bumper had to be repainted after it got damaged in shipping. I'm still looking for a hood and am still undecided about the rear wing.

What Shelby rims do you have? Post some pics of your ride.

ok to set some things straight

- When the first came out, they used Magnaflow mufflers. Very nice
- less than a year later, they switched to pypes (cheaper, yet the price of the kit stayed the same)
- Now they use their own mufflers (based off a design from the SLP LM) thats even cheaper than the pypes (yep still same cost for the kit).

Im sure they sound fine - but just irks me they keep using cheaper and cheaper parts, yet they still charge the same for the kit.

Newbreed I posted a pic in my profile (needs work). We have alot of snow up here in new hampshire thats why the shot is in the garage.Dont have any other shots of it yet. I hope to prime and paint the body parts next week and install the following week. The rims are made by Replica the shape is from 07 shelby just chromed nitto tires. My next up grades will be lowering and forced induction (positive displacement).
Whos mufflers do you have magna or Pypes?

I bought my exhaust kit off ebay from them when they went through the transition. I was actually sent the "Cervini by Pypes" muffler, but I sent them back to them for the magnaflow. My exhaust sounds awesomes, especially with my American Racing LT's. But to answer your original post, I don't of anyone who used the SLP muffler in place of the cervini mufflers but I suppose you could use any muffler you wanted since they are just plain round straight thru mufflers 2.5" in and out.
