Does the GT500 use the same rear end and axle as the GT?

i just skimmed through the workshop manual..
the specs and instructions are one for 4.6 and 5.4L cars.. so i assume they may use the same rear end.

the only way to confirm is through the spare parts department :)

Rear End

Yes the rear ends are the same,however some GT 500's came with one piece driveshafts using a different pinion flange than a Mustang GT.I belive it was the first production run,somewhere along the line they started using a 2 piece driveshaft.I have seen this personally.Vibrations on this platform are problem matic with 1 piece shafts.The spydershaft is working so far on my car.

After setting the PF parallel to the TF, my Spyder is good too (and you can't beat Ron's customer service), but eventually I want to swap out the axle so I can go 110+ comfortably.
