Hello,
A couple months ago I purchased a Ford Performance gen 2 coyote block from a shop. The plan was to have the shop clean and install my gen 1 heads onto the gen 2 block, then install everything into my Mustang. As of recently, the shop is no longer offering this service.
My Mustang’s engine component mods are listed at the bottom of this thread.
So, I am searching for a shop in CA that can clean and install my gen 1 heads onto the already assembled gen 2 block and reinstall into my Mustang.
I have done some research and have narrowed my search to the companies below...
-L&R + GTR performance in SoCal. One does the engine build while the other removes and installs the engine.
-ZMod. I have not been able to find much on Hugo’s work/company.
-I have tried reaching out to Westech Performance Group, MMR, RET, QMP, Campbell Ford Performance, and a couple others that have come up. Some of these shops told me they build engines, but do not install them while a couple I have yet to hear back from.
I am located out of NorCal (Monterey) for the next ~6mo, so the closer the better but quality of work is the most important. Does anyone have experience with these shops or have others to recommend?
2013 Mustang GT Mods:
*Legally a VA registered vehicle
-Roush Phase 1 TVS kit
-82mm pulley
-Roush Phase 3 intake
-Brisk RR12S spark plugs
All other mods are not in the engine bay.
