Well, the weather finally was awesome this weekend, mid 60's. So I decided to try some things out on my truck. I did the wash down with dawn to help remove any wax etc. Then I clay'd the whole truck. I hit it up with the porter cable with the megs 1 and 2. I then applied blackfire wet diamond with the pc and the results are stunning.
I'm very pleased with the results, The PC is very easy to use and like everyone told me, it is almost idiot proof. I love how much arm work it takes out of the job and how much better it does. At first Removing the polish was still leaving some swirls so I went back and changed my pad redid some of the spots and that took care of it.
I still haven't waxed the truck, I plan on getting it waxed this week but I wanted to let the sealant have a couple days. Unfortunately there is a chance of rain tommorrow.
I finished the detail off with cg vrp on all the interior. I really like this stuff for it has just enough sheen with one coat for me, and it's not greasy. That is the best part imo.
I used cg barebones on the under carriage, and as far as this product goes. I am sold. It looks great, smells like grapes and is easy to use. I then went back and did a final wipe down with fk425 and am sold on this stuff as well. It is by far superior to the megs quick detailer I've been using.
I was just glad I finally got to try this stuff out and enjoyed the day doing it. Next up is my wifes car and then the stang.
I don't have better pics as it was getting dark and these were taken with my phone. but the pics as you know don't do it justice, not to mention, the paint was looking pretty bad prior. I bought it used and the paint wasn't taken care of. It was clean but you could tell it never saw wax. It came back to life alot better than I had expected.
and take it easy on me for having a Chevy. lol
