How do you know this is necessarily true? I havn't seen actually numbers of before and after with the Ford cal tune.

The bama Race tune only picked up 9 hp, 5 ft-lbs peak on my car back to back pulls.

I had one for my '07. It wasn't very good(11 rwhp according to Motortrend on K and N's dyno).

The cal tool itself isn't useful for much...just load the tune and that's it. You can do gear ratio/tire size changes but that's about it. I am running the Ford tune with my whipple and overall am pretty happy with it...I beat the hell out of it too.

What is it you are thinking of doing? Buy a package from FRPP? If so what will it be used on?

Mine is rotting away in my basement. I'd go with the SCT for NA no question about it.

The 5.0- auto- is my DD / company car. I have Corsa xtreme x pipe and axle back. Thinking about 3:55 gears / Ford racing tuner and drop in filter. Future plans??????

Unless we start racing dynos; dyno #'s really don't float my boat. Bottom end tq / more sensitive pedal and better manners in the shifting dept. pushes my buttons; not to mention I get to keep my factory warrenty.

Are you talking 2011 5.0?
If so, I have not heard that they finished the tune for the Auto, just the manual so far.

I called Ford racing - late Dec or early Jan for the automatic

I had ordered it, waited almost a month and cancelled. I hope they stay on schedule this time.

The problem that I had with the FFRP is when I put on shorties and a hf x-pipe I lost too much low end torque. The car wasn't even fun to drive anymore. As soon as I got a SCT tune from Brenspeed the car pulled off the line like a bat out of Hell.
