GT500 Caliper Rebuild/Service Kits?

I have a pair of GT500 Brembo calipers I want to have re-powdercoated before I install them on my GT. Do they make replacement seals, dust boots, transfer lines, etc? I called a couple dealers and they couldn't/wouldn't do anything for me without a VIN for them to plug in..

Call Kevin at Clevanger Ford. He will help if ford makes kits.

If not, Brembo makes all the parts. They are just a Brembo F50 caliper which has a special inboard half for ford. Brembo can certainly help. Just measure the piston sizes before calling.

Otherwise, Stoptech makes parts for Brembo calipers. Zeckhausen has them or you can get them through stoptech.

I have a set of brembos that are a little scratched up as well. But im sure its going to be super expensive to buy parts for them, so Ill just live with it lol

I guess there's a question I should have asked in the first place; can they be broken down and reassembled without replacing the seals/boots? I'm working with take-offs that have only a few miles on them, so the existing ones are basically new.

I called a local dealer that I've dealt with a bit in the past with a VIN borrowed from eBay, and according to them they said they didn't list individual parts for the calipers..in other words they service them as a unit.

Yes, you can reuse the seal if not damage, just use lub to assemble.

yeah now i remember that i read that somewhere they dont have rebuild kits, if something shits the bed on the brembos you have to buy a whole new caliper....but that could have just been a rumor, i dont know for sure

Two more questions before I start dissecting these things; are there any internal seals or O-rings that could get damaged from getting baked for powdercoating? I don't remember where I read it but I recall that taking the halves apart is supposedly a big no-no so I wasn't going to crack them apart, but I'd hate to find this out by some sort of internal leak or blockage due to a melted seal after installing them.

And lastly; is the factory finish paint or powdercoat?

Now I just need to decide on a color...Lookatme Red, Stealth Black, Bling Gold, Subtle Silver...hmmm.

To answer my own question: no internal seals. Only rubber parts are the pressure seals and dust boots.
