I am going to be in Washington DC the first week of march, what to do?

I am going to be in Washington DC the first week of March with only the metro as my transportation. I'll be staying in downtown DC a few blocks from the white house. Anything going on besides the museums to check out?

Drive down Pennsylvania Avenue. When you get to the 1600 block stick your head out the window and start yelling, "Kenya calls you home, Motherfucker!"

Plenty of things to do. Especially site-seeing wise. I am sure your hotel will have a list of activities to do.
