I have the driveshaft for sale, and the guy buying wants to know if there are instructions somewhere (adapter plate, torque specs, etc). I certainly don't have them anymore, and the company appears to have gone out of business. Any ideas? Didn't see anything specific on this in the forum, nor through standard internet searching. Did the company get sold or change names perhaps?

The adapter plate specs share the same torque specs as OEM. Which I think sucks because they hex key style bolts! Pain in the ass to torque proper without adding extensions while the D/S is in the way. To be perfectly honest, I have the same part and I was not willing to torque it with extensions (would not be a true spec) I used a beefy hex set and box wrench as an extension and put the human torque arm to them. I do recommend using red loc-tite on all those adapter bolts and follow a standard bolt tightening pattern. Also make sure all the threads are clean! There is no forgiveness in that aluminum adapter plate for specs of dirt, if you chew those threads up or cross thread, it is game over. Clean the threads!

Anyone have a photo of the adapter plate connected to the drive shaft I can show him?

I appreciate the feedback folks...

IIRC an extension bar between the wrench and the socket doesn't change the torque applied much if any at all. A crow's foot on the other hand would. Or a swivel.

I'm looking to see if I have an pics of just the adaptor plate on there. I had my axle out a while ago but I'm pretty sure all of that stuff was off of it already.

As far as torque specs, I tend to use the German method where I can't seem to get my wrench into. If you have been wrenching on cars for a while you can guesstimate torque specs pretty good.

I've tested extensions with torque wrenches against a digital calibration tool and you're right, it doesnt change terribly much, but it does click random torque values. If you put 2 6" extensions together it becomes even more random. Like I said, im ok with the human torque arm on a driveshaft. Head studs wouldn't even be a discussion. Swivels are the devil. They lie! Never as tight as you think or possibly over tight lol.
