Intercooler question

Decided to send my whipple compressor and snout in for inspection. How do I get the intercooler off the compressor without damaging it? I took the allen head bolts off but the IC will not release. It has a shit ton of silicone gasket on it. Any tricks would really be appreciated. This is a Gen 2.

can you get some mono filament between the surfaces to cut the silicone?

Gonna try that. If all else fails, I will send the entire unit back to whipple.

Running fishing wire won't get into all the areas. Don't be shy to use a dead blow hammer. I've had mine out twice now and was surprised to see where all the gasket maker ends up.

thats what I did. they replaced the discharge plate and checked everything.
