i recently purchased a 2011 gt, but its cloth. I was checking on newtakeoff and they sell the leather seat covers already. I was wondering if its hard to put on or do you have to get a pro to do it? Thanks for the help guys

I saw a video showing it done. Maybe it was on their site or elsewhere, I can't remember. Maybe you could search YouTube. I am pretty sure it was hosted there.
I put seat heaters in my '06 (top and bottoms) and I had to take mine down a ways; it was pretty straight forward (easy) in my view.

I think the full swap is not that hard to do after getting into mine.

I did mine in my '06. It's not hard just time consuming.

In looking at that video, it looks a ton easier than doing a recover on an older car. I put new foam and covers on a '68 Nova and it was not a big deal. As others have stated, just a bit time consuming. A key first step is to lay the covers out in the hot sun for a while prior to install as that helps them stretch more easily and reduces wrinkles.

Not hard at all, just time consuming. I installed a set of black leather 2010 GT seats on my 05 in about 4 hrs from start to finish. Like doogie stated, heat really helps smooth and stretch them out. Did it without Hog ring pliers, but would have been much easier with them. Go for it! Sorry for the crappy pics, just installed and they were still a little wrinkled...

not a hard job at all, the hardest part for me was finding hog rings, and hog pliers. I searched for days before i finally found a pair............i felt like an idiot after i finally did find themHint: autozone, pep boys, advance, harbor frieght, will have NO idea what your talking aboutanother hint: if you have a tractor supply or farm equipment store near by, they will know EXACTLY what your talking about

as everyone says, it's not hard. 1 hint; remember EXACTLY how the bottom seat cushions come off. There's a couple little black, hard plastic push pin type things that you have to be careful removing. How it comes apart is how it has to go back together. I went to Harbor Freight, found a hog ring plier for $9, but no hog rings. In the back in the discount table was a hog ring plier and hog ring set that was auto loading, like a stapler. $2.99, such a deal. Take your time, I did the backs first, the passenger front, then the driver. Took about 6 hours taking my time. Still a little wrinkly from being in the box. Lay them in the sun for a couple hours to get soft.

Would you even try to really have a Leather Look Seat Covers instead? It might best suits your interior needs and it can be very more attractive to others as well.

I think hes asking if hed ever consider having leather seat covers stiched on there maybe rather than taking apart the seat and putting leather on it?

I could swear I answered 3 of these threads already... Easy to swap seat covers; just time consuming.

I got 2011 seat covers on my 2010 for $100 at SMS Supercars.
