What would have made everything right is I should have bought a 2010-2014 model that actually came in Grabber blue:Big Laugh:
...hahaha. Mine is a 2010... but the pony is black.... As you know...if you buy a used car, the condition is what counts. (my opinon ) If the color matches... way better.
Unfortunately respraying here in Germany - too expensive. Around 10000 Euros + for a well done paint job. Friend of mine resprayed a 73 Chally 2 or 3 years ago - (with vinyl top /roof ) in Petty Blue
-same as grabber blue - he paid 13000 Euros... and stripped the car before the paint job was done...

I paid £4500 for mine and the painter done all the stripping and rebuilding work. I just had to paint the engine bay myself when I had the engine out last year, id say todays prices would be 6000 to 8000 but the problem would be finding a painter willing to do it as most are now tied in with insurance companies which is very lucrative. Painting a car is just a huge money drain unless the car is bespoke or highly collectable.
