Hey everyone,

I have owned my 2007 Mustang V6 Convertible for about five years now. Because I have a company vehicle, I do not get to drive it as much as I would like, but it stays under a carport and has been well kept. This spring and summer I am finally planning to tackle a few things I have wanted to address since I bought it.

First, I am trying to track down a new OEM decklid emblem with the Tri Bar Pony. The one currently on the car is pretty sun faded and at one point had moisture inside the clear lens. Most of the used ones I have found look to be in similar condition. I did come across one that looked almost new, but it was a GT badge. I would rather keep the car true to what it is and just replace it with the correct emblem in good condition.

If anyone has a solid source for a quality OEM tri bar decklid emblem, I would appreciate the recommendation.

The second thing I have been researching is a removable hardtop similar to the Smoothline units that used to be available. I know Smoothline shut down a few years ago, so I assume new production is not happening anymore. Has anyone heard of a reputable company that picked up where they left off, or is it basically a matter of finding a used one or going the custom fabrication route now?

I enjoy having the convertible option in the summer, but with winters around here getting a bit rougher lately, it would be nice to have the option of a hardtop for the colder months.

Any insight, leads, or experiences would be appreciated.

I ran into the same problem on my '07 V6 convertible. In the end I made this up, at least it looks better than the messed up original one and from a distance it is sufficient.

Looks great! I ended up ordering one from the suggested eBay seller, but what I may end up doing is trying to restore my old one. I let my sister borrow my car, and she loved the way it drove so much, she got an ‘07 Pony Package, and her emblem is in the same boat, so if the restoration goes well, I’ll put my old one on hers.

Ironically I just went to a U-pullit this morning and found one of the better preserved rear emblems I've found, so I grabbed it and they didn't charge me since I paid for other stuff. It also had the driver airbag with a good emblem, but I left that for the next guy.

Definitely got lucky with that pull. A bit jealous, not gonna lie. I’ve checked what Pick N’ Pulls I have in the area, and all that I could find were emblems close to the current condition as mine.
