Had to brag a little. Cut an 8.478 in the 1/8th with a 1.995 60' last week. Several people told me I wouldn't see less than an 8.6.

2008 Gt. Airaid cai. Pypes off-road x-pipe. Bama 93 v2 tune. 2013 Cobra Jet springs. BMR non adjustable lca's. BMR relos set in the middle hole. Front sway bar removed. 15x8 and 15x3.75 Racestars with 275/50/15 Et street radials.

3.31 gears and 5 speed. Leaving at 6k, dumping the clutch.

Decent time or nah?

Elevation is about 1500 feet and it's always humid as Hell in Alabama.

Nice !!!! Very decent time, have you tried lowering the rpms and slipping the clutch a little more ? You can prob cut that 60' by a quarter second

No I haven't yet. What would you suggest? Around 5k? I'm spinning somewhat at 6k which is to be expected when you dump the clutch on radials lol.

Usually run anywhere from 16-18. Have been running 17 psi hot pretty consistently lately as it has netted my best time. I also run a better et when I spin off the line. My 60' suffers slightly but my et is better. I think because it never loses momentum.

If it dead hooks, it falls on its face. I guess the 3.31s don't give it enough ass to pull through.

It'll touch 7.90s next season. 4.10's, probably some bbk tuned length shorties and some more to be determined at a later date lol

I had some new personal bests last sat as well and now have motivation to get faster lol
Im considering disconnecting or dropping the front swaybar next time out as well as removing the seats.
Did you notice an improvement in weight transfer without the front bar, did you et change at all? Just trying to figure if its worth it.
Second was the rims (I want to get a set for next year), Im currently on the same tire in 17" on a set of stock bullets with heavy ass FR Boss 302s rims in front. How much faster did you go with the light wheels?

Keep in mind, my car is a 5 speed and I'm still suffering from inconsistency, but with the swaybar removed I went from 8.6 to 8.47. It helps a good bit with weight transfer and allows your front end to flex.

With the wheels and tires I'm thinking I picked up around 3/10ths.

I basically had to piece it all together to get it to where it is now. Had a shitload of trial and error lol

But it was also quite a bit cooler that night so I can't say for sure about the swaybar. All I can tell you is that it's worth it just because of how much it helps weight transfer.

Holy crap, if I get anywhere near those improvements I would be ecstatic
Im stick as well and the last time out felt like the car had a driver mod, fast, smooth, consistent, only variable was I moved my seat forward and slightly tilted down lol --play with your position I was amazed the difference it made

Yeah my seat is straight up, slightly tilted forward and as far up as I can stand it. I've honestly thought about buying one of those clutch pedal extenders as well to cut down on travel.

What mods do you have?

What mods do you have?

JLT series 3, FR intake manifold, FR Hot Rod cams, pulleys, FR coated short headers, Magnaflow H pipe, Borla Tourings, 4.10 Gears in gt500 rear end, BMR lower arms with relocation brackets, stock shocks, stock drive shaft

Going to a private rental this fri, lito just adjusted my tune and said
"The amount of timing is getting is just insane, let me know how it goes like this."
Also going to try removing seats and maybe swaybar like you did just dont know how.
Wheels etc wil have to wait till next year

bare minimum: disconnect front sway bar end links

moderate: remove front sway bar (but leave in heavy attachment brace that keeps radiator in place)
http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=61&viewfile=Stabilizer Bar.pdf

ideal: remove front sway bar/end links and heavy radiator support, replace with lightweight radiator support

seat removal:

http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=453&viewfile=Seat Backrest Rear.pdf

also, swap out your accessory belt with a shorter one that bypasses the power steering pump:

How's it going this season?
Kids sports have kept us busy, only made a few trips to the track this summer. Tinkering with a different rear sway bar setup (interim piece, if it doesn't work like I want I'll probably go with a full drag race anti-roll bar). Still haven't had my 4.56 gears installed yet...

There's a Ford Fever Classic event at Maryland Int'l Raceway 9-11 OCT; we had a softball tournament get cancelled so I might be able to make it out that weekend (even if it's only for test & tune on Friday night).

Trying to dip into the 11's and catch up with fdjizm
