So who are you buying mufflers from? I told you I'd give you a price when I got home today dude. I can ship them tomorrow after we come to an agreement.

Yeah I was talking about the longtubes.

I never said they sounded good, I just said they worked.

As for NTO, good luck finding an 05-09 rear bumper.
Latemodel Restoration has them though.

if you have a decent shop around, alot of guys have had a h pipe off a gt and the drivers side pipe fabbed to fit on the V6, thats another option. h pipes are hard to find otherwise. x pipes are everywhere.

Don't forget that you also need to cut your existing rear bumper, assuming this is an 05-09 V6, or buy a NTO GT rear bumper. You also have to drill tap holes for the hangers on the passenger rear support.

the bumper is easy now drilling holes for the left side i would find a muffler shop. i spent 450 total for duals. only 100 for install and custom made pipes.

I didnt have to drill any holes to hang the exhaust. the bolts threaded right into the holes in the frame. The only thing i did have to do was cut the holes in the rear bumper cover bigger because the Roush offroad setup has some massive tips.

yeah the frames are the same, so the holes will be there, the only issue with that may be, the undercoating, which will get in the holes and make it a lil rough to get the bolts in, I just rethreaded them just to be safe

There were no holes pre drilled in my 07 convertible and also in my friends 06 coupe. It was my understanding that only GT's were tapped for duals.

I put my stock exhaust on a buddy's 05 Nissan Altima, turning it into a dual exit set up, lol. sounds better when he hits the gas but you wouldn't tell anything otherwise.

I got a Off Road X on my 05 4.0, after it was tuned it was great. Need a muffler with a lot of Baffling. Its loud and doesn't sound bad in a lot of peoples opion.. minus the neighbors.

Don't get the off road pipe or gut the cats on the 4.0. It doesn't sound good, no performance advantage on the 4.0 - everyone I know who did it regretted it.

Different thing when you are talking about the 4.6. Make sure you are listening to 4.0 set ups because our 4.0 will never sound like the 4.6.

I have the stock exhaust manifolds and cats going to the FRPP X pipe, stock mid/over axle pipes, into the GTB mufflers. I used to have mufflers off the GT500 (which are nothing more than GT mufflers for the GT with an automatic). It sounded fine, but the GTB is a much deeper tone.

I have exactly the same system on our 4.0. And 3 tries later it is defintely the best sounding system. The 4.0 needs a little back pressure and it needs baffled mufflers or it sounds like rice.
