Great thread. I have just been researching the Roush kit for my 2008 California Special.
Just one (very conservative and cautious) question…. I currently have the OEM engine air filter and air intake setup. If I wrapped my OEM air intake tube with a heat proof adhesive wrap, that theoretically should reduce the air temp heading into the engine? I actually am in Australia and summers do get hot.
I understand that the air temperature change might be modest, though directionally it should cool the air, even by one or two degrees. What do you think?
I understand many of you would dismiss this idea, though did want to share my idea for the forum’s thoughts.
I have completed multiple handling mods (Ford Performance sway bars, Steeda chassis brace, Steeda G-Trac brace, Steeda Strut Tower brace, BMR lower tunnel brace and loop. Though at this stage, don’t want to play around tweaking with the engine set up.
