Self-Servicing the Saleen Blower?

Has anyone with the notorious blue sealant leak self serviced these blowers? It doesn't appear to be that large of a feat as long as it is caught prior to internal meltdown. Anyone know what materials/gaskets are needed as well as where to purchase them?

Thank You.

you can try permatex gasket maker (51817) used on eaton rebuilds or contact department of boost and ask what they use.

I have performed the repair and I used Loctite 518 as recommended by a Saleen supercharger shop. Worked great and no leaks.

Is there specific torque specs on the 6 allen's that hold it together? Also do you know the part number for the snout seal that supposidly goes bad as well?

Thank You

I can't seem to find the torque info. I did it back in 2011. You should contact 281 Motorsports. They have all the parts you need for the service. They also offer a full supercharger service, but you have to ship the whole unit to them.

I did the same, confirmed by saleen and PSE superchargers.

To my knowledge, other than whatever sealant was used.. There isn't any other seals between the snout and blower housing that I'm aware of..

As others have mentioned, your best option is to contact 281 motorsports at www.281motorsports.com

The seal is at the front of snout between the housing and the plate the pulley is held onto. The plate is held on by one larger allen head bolt in the center of it.

^ yes. There is also a bearing you can replace while you're at it.

I would definitely contact 281 motorsports or PSE superchargers.. Both have the most experience and knowledge when it comes to servicing the Saleen series VI and VI.5 superchargers..

When the time comes to have mine rebuilt.. That's who I'll be going with !

Thank you but after a long conversation with Jason at 281motorsports I have decided to just ship it out and get it all serviced up.
