Shaker 1000 Head Unit Replacement

I have a 08 California Special. Can the stock head unit be replaced with a aftermarket one and the amps and speakers/subs still work? Will I just need to get a wiring harness adapter?

yes , literally just did this ... sunday... with my shaker 1000, you have wire the turn on wire for the shaker 1000 rear subs to the front and it will turn on the 4 amps at same time, wiring harness was 27.99 from radio store.... took 30 minutes to install ... used youtube video on how do take out radio ... and youtube on how to install radio ... VERY EASY.
