So before the comments begin, yes i have searched and didnt find much. All i found was it wont work and it might work but no write ups. I have the shaker 500 system with an Avic Z1 headunit. My buddy is gonna sell me his Shaker 1000 subs and amp. Will it work with my system and how will i have to wire it? I have sub inputs in the Z1 and should be able to figure it out but some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

^^^ i read that entire thread. im gonna take a look at my trunk tomorrow and see whats there. i know most of the mustangs came pre wired with everything even though they may not have what the wire plugs into. like my color, shaker 1000, aux imput, ipod connection and a few other things.

From what I've gathered, only the 05 cars came pre-wired for the shaker1000 in the trunk. Here's a ton of info on the upgrade:

http://www.fnsweet.com/forums/05-09...shaker-500-upgrade-adding-1000-subs-amps.html

I'm getting ready to do this with the stock navi
i`m trying to hook up the frt amps to install door subs in my 05 base model to a shaker 1000 i put in, and none of the wiring is there. the studs where the amps bolt in under the dash are there, but i didnt see any wire plugs, nor did i see any in the trunk area. i looked at the wiring in my g/f`s 06 with the shaker 500, and the wires are clumped and ran with a bunch of other wire harnesses, didnt look to easy to separate them. so i would think removing them would be a nightmare. have you found any where to get just the plugs needed and make your own wire harness? thats what i need
