Shaker system

Ok I got a shaker 1000 from my brothers 06. I plugged in my car and the aux for iPod won't even read all it shows when I push aux is sat 1,2,3. I it because my shaker 500 is an 08 and came factory with it built in?

Did you just get the speakers or the headunit?

That shouldn't make a difference, have you compared the wire harness?

Yes exactly the same. My aux cord connector is in my center console and as soon as I put the 500 back in it worked. with the 1000 when you push the aux button it only cycles through xm and never shows aux.

06 never had AUX at all, that Shaker 1000 is programmed to have the AuX be a dummy button. You need to reprogram the radio to the VIN off your car. Easier method is to buy a shaker 1000 from a 07-09 car.
