When i am driving i hear a odd noise, kind of like a hum coming from the rear. The thing is i only hear it when driving around 50 - 55 mph. The thing that stumps me is that i can only hear it when decelerating from 55 to 50 then it goes away. it also goes away when i accelerate past 55. I also cant hear it when im into the gas cruising at 50-55 mph or accelerating past those speeds. if i take it out of gear when i am decelerating from 55 - 50, and it is alot quieter, its nearly gone but i still hear it quite faintly. Is this normal drivetrain noise or a bearing issue??

That's kind of the sound that my rear made when the spider gears were on their way out. Probably just stuff getting worn out. Guess it's time for gears!

Could be your rear end, but it could also be that carrier bearing for the POS two piece driveshaft also. I understand that it can sound a lot like gear whine when it is going out.

Some times when I am parked and my wife and I are in the back seat I get a hum from the rear. . . . .Maybe that's different though, sorry.

It's probably normal gear noise. mine did that when I had the factory ring and pinion in it.
