a couple of local races from tonight. moved out pretty good on a 383 carb with a 200 shot. raced a 900 hp cobra as well... wasnt much of a race.

cobra moves out nicely but got beat by a 450rwhp viper. He couldnt get any traction. He normally runs slicks, but drove almost 100 miles round trip for the little bit of racing last night. He said it makes 715/728 on the supercharger and runs a 200 shot on top. its a wicked car

Seems like a pretty desolate road and at least nobody is filming from inside one of the cars.

Still nowhere near as safe as a track but aside from the start guy it appears to be as safe as a street race is likely to be.

High HP cars on an unprepared street is a recipe for disaster. The crazy guy is the one flagging them, those cars could go anywhere at the hit.
