What is the best way to make my ax overkill? It's been peaking over 100 here almost daily. I am looking for a way to amp up my ac
(2012 mustang coupe) also any other tips to keep car as cool as possible.

Tint the windows 5% and use a sun shade

Also, small little life hack that most dont realize...turn your wheel a half turn upside down. That way, the top of the steering wheel isn't burning hot when you first go to drive. You're welcome.

i have rear and side louvers, as well as 5% tints and i use a sunshade.

my interior stays nice and cold from the AC for a good 2 hours on a 90 degree day

i also have a black roof on my car so that heats it considerably

Tint all the way around, and sun shade. I would even recommend tinting your windshield. I did my windshield 75% and use my sun shade and haven't had too bad a summer here in South Florida.

So I live in Oklahoma, and even with dark tint and a fully cranked and maintained A/C, it still can get hot.

The main reasons for this are the exhaust heat and the heat from them the metal exterior.

The solution? Insulation. They make both sound and thermal insulation material. Put it underneath your carpet, headliners, doors, etc.

Bingo! Insulating your transmission tunnel makes a big difference on our cars.

Otherwise, there's always...

Also, you should ceramic coat AND wrap your exhaust. That will help the cabin heat AND increase HP.

Will also cause the headers to rust!!

Not necessarily.

A poor exhaust wrap job is likely to cause surface rust, but only because it retains water and rubs the exhaust.

Conversely, a stainless steel header with a GOOD ceramic coat and a GOOD wrap job is unlikely to rust. There are many different products out there to treat exhaust wrap with that keep water out of it and if the wrap job is done well its unlikely to shift enough over the life of the exhaust to wear away even a noticeable amount of the ceramic coat.

Tint (windshield, sides, and rear) remote smart, sunshade, rear window louvers, and insulation should help. Im in Oklahoma and I have a black car with two layers of tint, 1 of 5% and 1 of 15% on my sides and rear window, quarter windows have louvers with CDC blackout shields and the entire front windshield is 30%. I use a viper remote start and start the car for about 10 min with ac cranked, keep a sunshade in the window and have the basic cabin areas thermal insulated and its still a hot mother ##$%% before getting in here in OKC during the summer so I couldnt imagine not having it all and what it would be like

Lol how do you drive at night with 30% on your windshield?

Also, to the op, you should probably check local laws on tint levels. If you have inspections they can fail you based on tint. Black CDC and I are both in Oklahoma and don't have inspections, but that level of tint is still illegal. Piss off the wrong cop and they can impound your car.

In Texas, I know the laws on tint here as well, thanks for the heads up though

Honestly you become use to it pretty quick. And I also have 6k hid's so that might help a little as well.

I have been pulled over plenty of times and as long as your honest with them and don't lie or be ignorant about knowing its illegal they are typically really cool with you about it.

I have factory HIDs myself and I still wouldn't want it to be any darker at night man. I have 20% on my sides and back and I can barely see out of them at night.

Personally I don't like cops and I don't talk to them. If I get pulled over I keep my mouth shut. I also try not to do anything illegal if I can avoid it. That combination keeps me out of trouble.

There are a couple of other possibilities though op, but they're expensive as all get out.
