I have a 2014 5.0 with a Roush R2300 625 stage 2 HP Supercharger Kit that's bin on the car for 3 years now. When dose the supercharger oil have to be changed and how...
Thanks
Did not know you had to change it and have never heard that. I've got a 2010 with the M90 and have never done anything to it in 50,000 miles and 25 track days... How would you even change it, pull the unit apart????
I take my blowers off/apart (to check/replace forward coupler,) and then refill. Roush should have info on level, or to bottom of fill hole. It's not rocket science.
The Eaton SC oil is fairly robust and is rated for 100,000 miles, I've put 80,000 miles on my TVS changed it a couple times ...
You'll need 8oz as roughly 6oz of oil should come out and go back in.
The easiest way to change it is to pull the blower , Remove the allen drain plug in the front cover, Drain the oil into a cup, and pour that amount back into the gear case,
Make sure the hole is clean before you refill , Use a drop of blue loctite, clean and reinstall the plug ...
If you don't wanna pull the blower, get an oil change kit with a syringe and use it to suck the oil out, and refill.
