I dont mind a drive to Bay area. I live in the Northeastern parts by Kingwood and such.

Be sure to ask exactly which part you're reserving. There's the park, which is across the street from the lake, and the boat ramp parking lot right near the water.

Also, depending on the number of cars, I can reserve the Gilruth Center at NASA. They have a decent-sized lot, picnic tables under pavilions, nature trails so you kids can hold hands on a romantic walk, etc.

Tradeoff. By the water, the picture would be nicer, but in July on blacktop, it's gonna be hotter than fuck. On the other side, the picture will be OK, but there will be some shade. Your call. I'm gonna be sweating like your mama either way.
