Torque question

Hey guys. I've searched but haven't been able to find an answer to my specific question.

I've got a 2.9 whipple setup I'm running with LT's, CAI..the usual. I'm pushing eight pounds of boost right now. I dynoed 612whp and 476 torque uncorrected.

The peculiar thing I am wondering about is I have seen guys with similar setups make less horsepower than me but MORE torque.

What is the reason for this?

What's your timing at peak torque? PM whoever you are comparing your numbers against and you'll probably find your answer. If they are the same then the follow up question would be to compare lambda's.

Another silly question. Looking at my log and don't remember timing when I recorded it...I do have spark advance and advance V2. Spark advance is at 17.50 and spark advance V2 is at 17.75 at peak torque.
