Actually I think it sounded fine...but it's hard to tell from a youtube video, especially with the car off in the distance and the sound of another car. But again, single exhaust's don't belong on a V8 Mustang....or even a V6 these days.

Thanks for being honest and the compliment, but I disagree strongly on the single exhaust, trans am series mustangs run a single side exit exhaust with a 5" tip.
Single exhaust's do belong on any car if they serve a purpose.
My purpose/intent was to save weight and get better flow which with my goals of staying n/a I accomplished it with this exhaust.
And I know this is a mustang forum but the camaro's had single exhaust systems from 1982-2002. The mustang throughout it's career has had dual into single back into dual exhaust also.
In case anyone was wondering the buschur racing single 3" exhaust for the 5.0 was my inspiration.
I'm hoping that with headers&hi flo cats it will sound close to as nasty as their kit does

So back on topic same car same suspension setup same tires on 19" take off 2011 brembos, I liked this look but hated the offsets and was contemplating doing 25mm spacers rear and 30mm front and plasti dipping them either white/gold. But when I found out they weigh 31#s each I decided to do the xxr-522 instead.

You make a good argument for the practicality of it, but I could NEVER Neuter one of my mustangs nuts or my own for that matter, in the name of efficiency or speed. Sure you can go a little faster but it looks ridiculous IMO. The only thing I would possibly consider is if it was setup as a middle exhaust with a modified bumper to make it look right, that branched to two tips.

The Mustang Trans-Am's 5" side exit exhaust is very different from a 5" ricer tip mate, that serves no purpose other than to look... err... ricer.

Personally, I think it's sacrilegious to put something like that on a Mustang.

Now, the 3" Buschur Racing tip, seen in the second video, is far more in keeping with a Mustang and would probably save you even more weight! :thumb2:

^funny kbreeze that you should mention that center exit idea I mulled that over quite a bit. I have a gt500 bumper I'm customizing and I'm contemplating doing a center exit single large oval/rectangular tip like a lambo dead center in the bumper with the diffuser section removed completely.
I understand your point man you have a mustang with the baddest motor ford has ever mass produced under hood it just wouldn't look right to slap a single exhaust on that badboy.
It would be like doing this to the whole dual exhaust sporting/chrome bullitt wheel lovin fake louvers adhered/sporting similar spoilers/chrome crispy grilles and foglights that blind people blue blood bleeding ovulating mustang owners :kma::moon:
But you kind of prove my point with the efficiency thing buschur picked up 15+whp&15+wtq with their single 3" setup and shed 72#s.
Thereby making their 5.0 both more efficient then the factory 2.75" duals and faster:clap:
It also sounds way smoother imo then any other dual bolt on exhaust making similar whp&wtq numbers.

Hey ch4rlie man thanks for posting/imbeding my videos and that is a 4" tipped muffler on the buschur racing single exhaust btw. Imagine if they had made it out of titanium. Probably could've shed damn near 100#s that way!

^haha that's funny:roflmao: especially considering I haven't posted an ass shot of my car:ok:
It looks very tasty with the 2010 smoked sequential tails, smoked led 3rd brake light, custom painted matte white dgcustoms blackout panel with ford emblem in the center, white gt500 wing and big old 5" tip muffler poking out!

No problem... http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3643

Look to Akrapovic for a titanium setup... http://www.akrapovic.com/car-exhaust/products/ford-mustang/

Back on a positive track, the reason I like your black 'n' gold look...

Wrong, Put a header back 3" dual exhaust on a 5.0 and you will pick up more power than the single! Don't you think if you had a valid point more companies would make a single kit? Ie full 3" dual exhaust 5.0's are picking as much as 30+ rwhp tuned. the car with full 3" single picked up 15rwhp..

Yes sir, they are a tad wide... but, 800+rwtq has no problem just roasting them no matter what at anytime.... super fun.

What makes a twin screw Kenne Bell so awesome, low end qrunt.

dont misunderstand me. It looks sick, and putting down all that power Im sure it needs that much tire. good stuff

wow...that looks amazing, what offset do you have? I see the wheels are flush and what sticks out is the tire ( kinda how I consider it should be)

this is my setup, Buddy Club P1 18x8.5 with 245/45 up front and 285/35 rear

Nice looking Mustang!

Wish I could tell you the offset. I picked them up used and it was not mention. The only thing that was that they would fit with some love to the inner fenders with a hammer.

They are close, very close to about everything. Took some time with a hammer and grinding to make them fit.
