Is the elastic strip to keep the bottom of the cover from flipping out from under the rubber skirt every time the e-brake gets pulled up? That is a minor irritation.
Upgrade your console armrest to a quality leather or Alcantara

that is the reason we added that, although there has only been a couple guys that had that issue, but as a precaution. ive had the original cover on mine all this time and never had that happen. my cover is a solid inch below the rubber when i set the brake.
the ebrake handle should not come up much more than a few clicks, if the cables are not stretched and the rear brake pads and rotors are in good shape. heres my brake lever set. just checked, 5-6 clicks sets it nice
but regardless, if you mail it back we will sew a strap on the bottom and mail it back to you. we can also fit it on a lever and check it out to make sure its cool.

This is great, I want to get them eventually to match my RTC's
I snapped a quick pic. The interior is pretty dusty and dirty since the car has been sitting for a while. I still need to throw on the TCI boot, GT500 door panels, new leather seats, billet pieces, and steering wheel - then it will look a lot better!

, sorry about that,lol....i forgot it was even on there. its a feature i was playing with from go daddy with stuff they had built in. i do have the option to add mp3 media, but dont have any. i dont get it when i log on to the websiteThanks, Mike. thanks justin. man, your doing alot of interior work to your car. thanks for letting us be part of it. you are the first person (besides myself) to attempt the tci boot install. if you have any problems let me know and you can mail the trim ring and boot and i`ll install it for you. i didnt get any pics with the clamps i used. but i used the small size spring clamps, one at each seam line on the ends, and a couple on the sides and let it sit overnight.
not trying to toot our own horn here, but we put alot of time into designing these small parts but marcy has been sewing for 40+ yrs and using the commercial machine over 20 yrs. i can cut, fit and rough the parts in but the top stitch she lays down to finish the parts amazes me too
i tried again to capture the thread colors in a pic, still didnt get brightness of the colors like i wanted, but heres a chart for a few people that have asked about colors. also the supplier changed the grain pattern on the #2 pebble a while back so heres a more accurate pic of the pebble grain we have right now. we still have a limited amount of the previous pebble to match parts people ordered last year, but the hides can vary slightly so the best thing is to order any parts sets at the same time

got a new edge e brake cover coming that we will be working on to complete that set for the SN95`s. still not sure if that boot will work with the older consoles.

Will you have write ups for install on these too? I actually have the 10th Anniversary Cobra CF look shift boot now but a quality leather one would be sweet and a matching e brake boot even better!

i`ll try to get some together for the shift boot, and we`ll be working on the ebrake boots in the next week or so, so that part is just around the corner.

i also mentioned using heat on the install page. this is good for all leather installs (vinyl too), seats ect:
The covers will have some wrinkles, its just the way it is with new leather. The smooth grain is stiffer too than the pebble and takes a little more work to smooth it out during the install. For the most part, being mounted on the lid, some time and sun will relax the leather but if you want to jump start it and get it a little smoother from the start, you can use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm it up and then work the leather with your hands and fingers. You might want to do this BEFORE you screw the bottom plate on locking the cover in place. Keep the heat gun moving and be carefull you dont get the heating elements too close to the leather and burn it, and the stitching is actually a tough nylon thread that could be damaged with excessive heat. You do want to get the leather hot to the touch, but not so hot you cant work it with your hands. Heres a short video of the heat gun. Also, use some of your favorite leather conditioner on it. That will help to soften it and give it a nice sheen.
