New solenoid top: package marked (8L3Z-6M280-B) part stamped (8L3E-6B297-AB) *** the 2nd solenoid shares the same package number but the stamped number ends in "BA"
Original Solenoid on bottom.
Did they update solenoid design through the years? I got a timing kit and new solenoids from Tasca, and immediately noticed the solenoids are different. The original solenoids on my car have bigger orifices on the bottom and center. The new solenoids are smaller orifices on the bottom and middle. The part numbers are also different. Will I be ok with these? Just updated design or could they be wrong for the 3v? I'm chasing out an issue with why my car won't control the phasers correctly at WOT. Tuner is convinced it's not tune related, so I'm replacing phasers and solenoids. (No CEL's).
I want to verify these solenoids are correct for my 3v.
