GL with it, at least you can drive it and it's still fast as shit!

Maybe some mild blower cams and lock out VCT to maximize your set up?
Yea, the car does move out and the best part is no rods sticking out of the block lol... Cams may be a winter project.... I have a compresser ready to go too... thanx pappy... BTW, as you can see the pumps work awesome :beerchug2: Thanx again
Your numbers aren't disappointing, I'm sure there is more left in the car, but I'm sure there are some variables that are playing a role in why JimIII @ JDM left it where it was. It's better to play it a little safer on the tune then go aggressive and blow up your ride. You'll be way more pissed if that happens lol.

What is the 2.87" good for on the V3? I wanna say 20-22psi like the Novi 2200s. Did you check for all possible vaccum or boost leaks? Also how was the fuel delivery holding during the pulls. I may need to dig back, I'm sure you posted some dyno graphs.

I would just enjoy the car for the summer and look into grabbing more power when the cold weather and snow arrives when your not using the car. Goodluck man.
The numbers only reflect how much JDM didnt give a shit about my car..... Thats what pisses me off. After all the $ I spent there...... My car was almost treated like a birthday cake hooker.... Get her in then out, ASAP... I do have faith that the tune the car is running is safe and soild along with knowing its a good motor.....

The 2.87" with 2.5"-3" IC piping should make 15-18 psi.... The V3 blower is actually smaller then the 2200.... Its capable of making 22 psi, flowing 1150 CFM and can support 780BHP...... basically I have it close to the end of what it can do..... Deff no vac/boost leaks..... The car is so consistant at -22hg -23hg at a hot idle, -25hg at a crusing speed around 2k rpm, and believe it or not WOT to decel it can pull close to -30hg lol.... Boost will get close to 17 psi.... Depending on IAT's and A/Fr's....

I think Im going to do what your saying GB. Ive spent so much time and money on this damn car, I never really get to completly enjoy it like getting it to the track.... As of right now, everything is working perfect so its up to me to drive it...... This winter, we may see some cams go in but it will be tuned by someone else..... Thanx GB

Not a problem, been down the road of disappoint before, several times haha.

Sounds like you need to look into upgrading that head unit, add some blower cams, along with high load springs and retainers and go for broke in the spring. :highfive:

Heres how you can calculate what, your car can support with that blower. Its about cfm how much the blower and engine can move and how efficient it is.

Punch in 5.0 for displacement since you have a stroker and I used 88% volumetric efficiencey for the 3v heads and frpp manifold. You hit 1150 cfm at 6500 rpms at 18-19 psi. So at 18-19 psi you will be at the cfm limits of that v3 on your car. If you can find a compressor map for that blower you can narrow it down even more with pressure ratio and max blower rpm.

Yea it looks like there is just alittle left in it at 6500, 16.5 psi..... 78 CFM

Heres where you are at vortech does post their compressor maps.

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/support.php?support_section=Compressor%20Maps

If your seeing 16psi at 6500rpms thats a pressure ratio of 2.05 flowing 1050cfm (82lbs/min of air) and your at around 70% efficiencey on the blower.

Yup, fun stuff to play with and calculate, you can take your current numbers and compare them to ysi trim and so on.

So actually your first calculator was pretty much spot on with saying 78 CFM left..... Yea, Im gonna leave that bold part out for now or Ill be re-calculating my bank account with Ysi numbers :roflmao:

Man at least see what a good tune will get out of it before going nuts with parts again lol. VMP can have you datalog a couple things and get more out of that combo bro. I completely understand the wallet thingy though.

All you need is a laptop and your SCT to data log right? I may do that just to see what he thinks...

Yep. He should be able to see what timing you're running and when it starts to knock. Justin told me he could remote tune mine if I decide to add a 75 shot to the mix, do a race gas tune, or go down to the smallest pulley, all without bringing it back in on the dyno.

P.S. I just know there is more left in your car. Our graphs are almost identical, only I am running alot less boost. It just pisses me off about their tuning and how they are treating you. I mean really they should be laying out the red carpet for your car and posting videos on their website, etc. MO!

How did you get the pressure ratio?

Edit: NM clicked on the "Plot onto Compressor map" link. Awesome info Lightblade!

Lol he's one of the Mustang OG's. He's been tuning and racing Mustangs since the 80s. Frankie is down there today getting his gears installed.

OG? I'm not saying they don't do good work, I'm just saying I wasn't thrilled to work with them after I spoke to him on the phone... and thank god Frankie is done spooning with those gears, bout time he got those installed haha.... Also, BDP's dyno rates are unreal..... too much $ IMHO
