More updates
I prepared my other frame with a Tanks brand fuel injected classic mustang tank. Blasted, painted and waiting on a pile of new parts. Currently rolling around a Crown Vic front suspension my friend had laying around.
Needs lower up front, hopefully get near a 2" drop out these custom made springs
If you are doing a new frame, why didn't you just do a kick up where the CV IFS bolts on? You could have as much extra drop as you want without giving up suspension travel. Then you could fine tune ride height with springs.
I needed to do a spring rate change anyways. Custom ones were getting made for the reduced weight. Plus moving the front suspension up would put my engine and tranny too high. The trans has limited clearance with the tunnel. Not to mention the lower control arm mounts are right up against the frame curve without some major hacking.
Also changed to the all aluminum engine. The ride difference between the donor CVPI and the truck was noticeable. It's going to be an on going project for some years
