2006 auto shifter chrome peeling

I have a good friend with an auto 2006 that the chrome is peeling from the top of the automatic shifter handle. Is just this part replaceable? I am guessing it is the IUP.

It's going to be the whole shifter handle, I'd need his VIN to give an accurate quote and it could be anywhere from $37.00 to $183.00.
