2010 mustang GT - 315 hp
2011 mustang GT - 412 hp

2014 mustang GT - 420 hp
2015 mustang GT - 435 hp
2016 mustang GT - 532 hp?!?!?

lol, but in all seriousness depending on what the camaro and to a lesser extent the USS challenger does, a 450-475HP GT is possible.

especially if the GT350 makes near 600hp.

Is ford changing anything physically in motor or did they find power in the tune?

Not really sure why people keep on comparing the 15 to the 10.

The GT in n/a form is not going to make any more than 450 hp anytime soon. And to get that 450.....it'll be a revised air intake, intake mani, TB, exhaust etc.... All which are heavily supported by the aftermarket.

I love being right...seeing people think it was going to be over 450-475, was comical and they thought they were correct, I knew it would see over 440.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing. As soon as I heard "more than 420" I knew it wasn't going to be a ton more. We all knew it had pretty much the same motor so why are we all surprised when its "only" a 15hp gain?

I think it will be awkward as hell to think I am hearing an evo or some shit coming down the block and a mustang pops out. lol.
But the 2.3 should run hard and be easy to mod, just please don't change the exhaust!!

I heard flowmast is going to be adding these to the line-up for mustang exhaust.

I think the new V6 sounds like a fun project car to have. Just mod the shit out of it and have a blast with it.

From everything I have seen, and heard, the rods should be similar to the Boss 302 pieces. If that is true, then this engine should handle 700rwhp pretty safely.

I am going to get mine, and make 750-800rwhp. We will see how long it lasts. My goal is to take the car into the 9's with only a poweradder, tune, and some minor suspension tweaks - on a DR.

You should be good at 800HP, I think around 850 is when you start to get into sketchy territory though. I think Tracy's Boss was making 9 and change when it gave way but I may be wrong.

Mine will make 550rwhp and 500fp torque by next summer so it really doesn't matter what numbers Ford says it makes.

N/A or with FI?

If these cars make 380-390 rwhp stock, will you still be right?

Was about to post almost the same thing. 15-20% drive line loss with those wheel numbers would be in the 445 give or take range.

He may want to hold off on the "I told you so" world tour.

380rwhp with an IRS car is about 450hp at the crank, typically.

I think the car will make around 380-390 rwhp. Time will tell!

^ Correct, if you drag race.

Power is power. Still needs XXX amount of power to run XX.XX at the track. If the car had 300 HP, it wouldnt go 12's stock. ;)

My point is that no one really knows until it gets put to the test and we see how it performs. Making assumptions and crying about it doesn't change anything.
