I'm looking for a tire for a Forgestar 19x11. I'd like to go with a 315, but the tires I looked at (nitto nto5r, 555r, michellin pilot ss, mickey Thompson) do not come in this size for a 19" wheel.

Any suggestions?

I can get the NT05R in 305/35r19 but I was hoping to take advantage of the 11" wheel and move to a slightly wider tire. I can get the MT et street in 325 but not sure if that's pushing the width limit and also not sure what I'd run up front. The 255's are 255/50 255/60. Way too tall.

I think if I stick with the 305 I might as well get the forgestar 19x10?

I don't want to go lower then a 35 because I have 4.10 gearing and don't want the gearing even lower with a shorter tire.

A 305 will fit more square on a 10.5 or 11" wheel.
On a 10" wheel it will bubble out.

So you would go with a 19x11 for a 305 nt05r? Instead of the 19x10? I know the nitto'is run a little narrow

I would.
The 11" would also allow room to move up to a 315 tire if in the future a company offers a size that will work.

Have you looked into 315/30/19?
Not a lot available in that size and what IS available is expensive, but maybe more offerings will be available eventually?

I think I may go with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

I'm considering:
F: 255/40ZR19
R: 305/35ZR19

or

F: 255/40ZR19
R: 325/30ZR19

These will be fitted on forgestar cf5 19x9" / 19x11" wheels.

What do you guys think the better option is?

The 305's look good on an 11" wheel and they will perform very well on that wheel. It took me doing some reading to get behind the slightly stretched look but now that I see the reasoning behind it, the look us growing on me.

that's why I went away from a 19" wheel ... there's not enough tire choices out there, and most of them are big money. Had 19" wheels on my G37, never again.

I think 20's on the mustang look just a little too big. That's why I'm staying with 19's.

If the wheels are available in a 19x9.5 or 19x10 for the front, consider 275/40/19
It's a meatier size, will give you more width, more sidewall, better ride comfort, and less understeer than the 255/305 stagger

The bigger the tire width difference is from front to rear, the more understeer you'll typically have.

You can also do a 19/20 stagger, like I had last year on my car, with the 19x10 / 20x10 AMR wheels, and 275/40/19 front / rear 305/35/20 tires:

I have been toying with 11" rims, but I want to go square, so I'm a little cautious. I took some initial measurements today at Discount Tire. My current plan is to go with an RTR 19x10.5 wheel (flow formed and $300 ea. at AM) with 305/30/19s on all four corners. Tire sizes that will work on the 10.5" range from 285 through 315. Tire availability is not bad, but they do get expensive because they are 19".
