Do most of y'all that golf carry your clubs in your stang? With my shaker subs I have to fold down a rear seat and it's a bit of a pain getting them in and out.

Yes, I didn't get the 1000 because of the sub location and when I relocated my battery to the rear I put it in the spare well so it wouldn't interfere with my clubs. Of course I play about 4 times a week so the clubs are in and out of the Stang all the time.

I built a custom box that fits in the hole on the right hand side of the trunk that holds one 10" sub. I am able to fit my bag sideways in my trunk. I just have to it at a little bit of an angle so the bottom of my bag doesnt rub the face of my sub.

Sure do Drew. But I dont have any subs in my trunk. One day I'll get some bass back in my life. Lol. I used to put them in the back seat or lay the front passenger seat down and pushed back all the way when I had Subs in my '00 mustang.

Mine go in perfectly but ONLY work with the heads on the drivers side! I would still rather take my Escape...

You don't have shaker subs in there do you? I tried every which way and I can't get mine to fit. I usually go with my dad in his Camry and there's room for a small house in that trunk lol.

Got my handicap under 40! Woot. All with 30+ year-old clubs. Equipment doesn't matter so much, IMO...gotta hit it right no matter what you're playing with.

That's awesome man. I couldnt imagine hitting with 30 year old clubs.

Pretty sure today will be the last round of the season. Either by weather or because I'll be disconnected from the world for a few months. I envy you fair weather fairway-ers. Hoping to break 100.

I golf, have since I was 13ish so 10 years pretty much. I am in a league with my dad, handicap was a 13 this year on 9 holes. I am ok but have a tough time just putting it all together to get a great round.

Played last weds and came out of it shooting 78. Seems to be my plateau. I'm stuck there for an avg round. I know what it is too. I need to go hang out at the chipping and putting green. Lol. But I play very little now a days so instead of focusing on one aspect for hours I just assume play a round when I can. I'm not complaining though. I would ultimately like to shoot under par though before too long. Will def have to get some practice in for that!

I'm enjoying the Presidents Cup. Been watching after work every night. There is some real good golf being played but the greens must be a bitch. I see different players making the same misread on the same holes.

And the US wins another Cup! Tiger got his mojo back, Mahan and Furyk were solid. Since it was on the Golf Channel I didn't have to see all the NBC sports interuptions. What a great tournament.

Yes the play was fantastic in the Cup this year. I can't imagine putting on greens as fast as those. When you watch the best players in the world hit putts that look good and end up going off the green you have to just shake your head. I'm not a big Tiger fan but it was nice to see him playing back to form.

I am 22, have been playing since i was 5 years old. I have grown up at the golf course, lived a few doors away from the pro and would get picked up at 6am and taken to the course for the day as "day care" the pro was my uncle's best friend (uncle passed a year before i was born) he took care of me until my uncle's friend who was a teacher moved two more doors down who really taught me the game. That game has taught me more life lessons than anything else. I have made my best friends out on that course. I played in highschool, going to state 3 years in a row, coming close to winning but always falling short. I went to college to play golf, D2 due to not playing well my senior year in highschool, got to college to see golf wasnt the same on that level, the coaches didnt care, we never had practices and never went to meets. I was disgusted, i decided golfing would just be something i would do to relax. I didnt go out for the team my sophmore year in college, worked instead, golfed everyday like i used to when i worked at the golf course in my home town in highschool. I got really good in highschool, mid to low 70's on par 72's. i would squeeze in a few below par rounds but i worried more about being consistent more than anything. I dont play as much anymore but when the company i work for had a company tournament i teamed up with old warehous buddies (i had moved into the office) and we took the course and shocked all, not saying i carried the team but i definately suprised people who didnt know i had golfed. I love golf so much, its a toss up between golf and my car. Golf was my escape when younger, taught me lessons many kids will never know. gave me determination, the hard work ethic, because we all know golf is no easy task. I still bat around the course on the weekly, average about 5 rounds a week, usually by myself since no one around likes to walk and enjoy the round. shoot a mid 70 which i am happy with, i play more than i practice which i wish i would have more time to practice but not how it goes.

I have since been out of golf for coming up on 2 years in june, due to a really bad injury in my left hand i have no feeling in it. Last year i tried to play but could only play in best shots, i couldnt hit over 25 shots without being in heavy pain. I hope to return next year, i am buying my sticks brand new, from the driver to the tee's, i am so excited to be back on the course.

also i read alot about golf, books, articles etc, i agree golf is a game played in your head. I love to think about life lessons i have learned on the course, being greedy, playing it to safe, losing my temper, not following through with what i planned, falling short of a goal and i am sure there is more.

I feel like golfers or not should "golf is not a game of perfect" easily applies to everyone

I used to play a lot when I was young, 10-12. I used to ride my bike to the course and had a pull cart with my bag on it towing it behind my bike. The being a teenager got in the way and I quit until about 5 yrs ago (42 years old). My girlfriend who had never played wanted to try it. I bought a used barely used set of Callaways and got her a started set of womens Adams. We hit the range every weekend for about 2 months before we ever hit the course. All I can say is I wish i never quit when I was young. I love the game but wish i could be better at it. It gets very frustrating and really gets in your head if you let it, i just try to be content when anytime I get under 90. Otherwise I just try to be happy that its something we can do together outside and have a few beers too.

I play on occasion, I'm by no means great, but certainly enjoy it. It's been a couple months since i've been able to make it out though. :(
