This could be a painful thread to read, but it's meant as a tribute. Post up your Mustangs that left this Earth before their time.

Girl I know took out not one, but two 1996 Mystic Cobras of the 2000 made. 2nd one was mint from what I understand, still had the plastic on the back seats.

Wrecked the first one. Then bought the second one. Drag raced a Camaro off a light in Florida. Rear tire blew out, she rolled the car 6 times I think. She ended up in the hospital for like 4 months.

The day the scrap guy came to haul it off. Already had my replacement but it still isn't the same.

I went to a local car show with the wife and kids. On our way home the car felt a lil wierd and it stumbled a lil all of a sudden I had flames shooting by my feet and Trans tunnel then out of dash. I stopped the car as fast as I could and turned it off. While I was doing all that I was on fire and burned my hand, nose, eye lid, and hair. I yanked the kids out from the back and pushed my wife out the door. Thank god we all got away fine. I was able to salvage the whole drivetrain and turbo. Sold it all off and everything is still running hard.

I remember that fire from theturboforums.com

was great that you all got out of the car quick enough.

you guys don't have any skills.
I repaired this car. it was a filler job to do when I was slow at work.

during repairs

6 months later. if I worked on it full time it probably would have taken about 4-5 weeks.
