I attended MDIR's Ford Fever Classic on Sunday; no new PB but I had fun.
To date, I've only run test & tune - paying little attention to R/T. Inexperience aside, I managed to make it into the 2nd round of eliminations where I broke out (ran a 12.40 on a 12.41 dial-in). DA was approx +800 for my final/fastest pass of the day
Still waiting for the cooler air to see if I can't squeeze 11.9X out of this thing. I've also got a set of 4.56 gears that need to be installed too...
launch @ 6500 off limiter, shift 6500-7200 range (still need to wire up my raptor shift light), front struts full loose, rear shocks +7, rear tires 15psi cold.
One thing I've been tinkering with is an adjustable rear sway bar (reference an old thread of mine here). I'm currently running a whiteline adjustable rear. The 20mm OEM GT rear sway bar is rated at 96 lbs/in, and using whiteline's guide their 27mm four way adjustable bar is (approx) rated at 328 lbs/in at the stiffest setting
Note I swapped out the whiteline down links - the rubber bushings had a lot of bind. I contacted Team Z and ordered a set of their Cobra Jet arb down links with rod ends - they're noisy, but zero bind.
I wanted to experiment with this setup as it's bolt-in and easily removed. The OEM bar with hardware weighs 16 lbs, and the whiteline bar with hardware weighs 20 lbs. With zero preload, I'm satisfied that the front is coming up evenly left-to-right.
