hellion turbo almost no boost

When cruising part throttle I get 8 to 10 lbs. Go wot and it drops to 1 lb. Checked for leaks none visable. Running off wastegate it should stay at 10 lbs. Just did new shortblock, hot rod cams and pi 3000 converter. Thinking something is up with the wastegate. Any thoughts. Hellion 62mm turbo converted to blow thru before the shortblock. Was making 12lbs before the motor cams and converter.

Sounds like the wastegate is hooked up backwards. The line from your turbo housing output should go to the bottom, or side depending on which wastegate you have, and the top port should be open to atmosphere.

Yes thats how I have it. It was working before the motor, cam and converter went in. The car is not tuned yet. Could the tune be off. Or the cams taking 9lbs of boost? I dont think so. I dont think the converter or trans would be it either, IDK. Got the wastegate off and it looks fine. Any help, Thanks Guys!

Just out of curiosity, have you checked the blow off valve?
