WMS makes hood pins that attach under the hood so you wont have to see them, they are expensive though.

I went from Sparcos to Aero Catches
It toke alittle time to make the teardrop pattern for them to fit...but they look pretty slick.
I run aerocatch and LOVE them.
IMO its the only way to go as far as hood pins go...
+1 for the Aerocatch. Tested to 200MPH.
Not in that car at least...
I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't done it.
I recently installed a turbo on the car. 550-600HP. I went out to a long stretch of very straight road, ran it through the gears and proceeded to hit the rev limiter (set at 6500) in 5th.
The speedometer was pointing straight down at 6 o'clock.
I know you're a technical person, do the math.
.67 5th gear, 6500RPM, 285/40/18 tire (27" dia.), 3.73 final.

Ahh, turbo. Minor detail. I was wondering what you were smoking thinking 200 was feasible with an intake, headers and a vented hood!
just got done installing the FRPP pins, I love the old school look. But have to say: WTF is Ford thinking ? Pins are too short no matter where you put them. Ended up welding a nut to the top side of the rad brace to (barely) get enough height. Hoping the retaining wires loosen up a little, still tightly coiled like in the package. As soon as it's light enough to snap a pic I'll post it up. Had alot of hood flutter even at 105 down the quarter. Mid October is the last HPDE here so I went ahead and did pins.
that's what i had to do too... i wasn't happy, until i got up to speed to test
Yes.
Please excuse my filthy car, its all clean now though
