Do you want more weight transfer out of your 05-13 Mustang GT, but are on a budget? Do you want a strut that you don't have to worry about "dialing in" and want something that just works? Do you already have a complete suspension under the car, but really aren't getting the traction or 60ft times you want? Brenspeed and Lakewood have a perfect package for you! We installed this same shock/strut combo and dropped nearly 2 tenths off our 60 ft times, not to mention some more air under those front tires as well! Here is the key...

Lakewood Industries, the leader in traction and suspension products, has combined its experience with the latest technology in drag shock design to develop a shock absorber that has performance characteristics superior to any other drag shock available. Lakewood drag shocks are manufactured with only top quality components to ensure many years of consistent high performance. These drag shocks will provide excellent weight transfer on initial launch and bring the front end down quickly to avoid poor aerodynamics, resulting in lower ETs while keeping the rear suspension properly ''loaded'' for maximum traction. As vehicle speed increases, the precision speed-sensitive valving begins to operate, making your vehicle safer and easier to control at the end of the track. Even under hard braking, you will notice less nose dive and better over-all stability at high speed. Lakewood has also developed front street/strip struts for late model Mustangs. These struts will give superior drag strip operation as well as excellent street performance.

The process is quite simple, please see below...

anyone use the 90/10 on the street, or would the 70/30 be a better choice for street driving. i only drive the car on weekends and track duty. so not much street miles. torn between the 2.

also do these just swap in for the 2012 or do you need a 05 -09 strut mount??

Yes, the 90/10's work great on the street as well as the strip. The car in the original post is my car and I drive Goldmember all over the country to race in the NMRA as well as a daily driver. That combo really allows the front to pop at the strip while holding its position on the street. If you would like to talk about it in further detail please don't hesitate to call me at Brenspeed.

Thanks,
Miles
