Really the M90 is obsolete now that DOB has a kit for the used GT500 blowers.
No need to replace the whole engine. Just a few key parts in the rotating assemblyYeah, I am leaning heavily that way now that I've gotten answers to my original question, and some firsthand info.
Along with some one on one with DOB.
I'm just flushing out some details and waiting for a few things to clear up before I greenlight.
More specifically, waiting for my engine to give me a good excuse...
I hate to say it. But I kind of wish it would stop running so well.
Hard to argue a new motor when mine works just fine.
Tried lying and unplugged a few coils.
Old lady agreed it was ok to replace because it was "dying"
I then forgot to keep unplugging them, and she realized, wait...it runs fine.
Smh

I've debated a rebuild.
Aside from travelling, or buying assembled.
No one has a reputable modular builder here.
The general consensus is buy it.
I was also tempted to do it myself.
I don't see it being particularly harder than an old pushrod.
Still waiting for word of a good place to have the block machined.
El Paso is pretty big on simple R&R.
Most go the lkq, junkyard, or new car route.
The few places I've talked to "shouldn't be a problem"
Not what I call reassuring for $3500.
So I am about to grab a 2010 with 14k
For $2300 shipped.
