Made the move from a 4.6 to a 5.0

I just wish that the previous owner opted for either the 3:55's or the 3:73's instead of the 3:12's. At 80 I was running just under 2000 rpm.

No such thing as 3.12's. If you have a manual you have 3.31's.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It should be:

I wouldn't stress it. I have 3.73 and at 80 I'm at 2500-2600

No such thing as 3.12's. If you have a manual you have 3.31's.

Typo, actually 3:15's based on the YY code on the drivers side sticker. And it's a 6 speed automatic.

Just ordered the Roush axlebacks from AM. Cant believe how expensive axlebacks have become. I think I paid just under 300 for the Flowmasters on my old 07 4 years ago. Now they are close to 500 bucks now. With the 6% AM code I paid 441 for the Roush.

Most of the exhaust options on 5.0s are way too loud in my opinion, especially on a convertible. IMO the GT500s sound great and so do the Ford/Borla Touring.I think those Roush's may be a bit much but it's all subjective.

You think that they are too loud? The touring and GT500 are too quiet. GT500's are what the car should have come with stock. No question about it. The stock exhaust is pretty weak sounding. I would love to hear the Roush while riding in a convertible. That would be a slice of heaven!

First off, congrats on the new ride. I love the GT/CS. Great looking trim package for these cars.

FWIW, I have the Roush ABs, no other engine or exhaust mods, and IMHO, it sounds perfect. No drone whatsoever, but it can be loud when you go full throttle. I get compliments on the sound all the time.

If you want something a little more subtle, maybe try the GT500s.

Congrats on the car.
A close friend has a set of GT500 mufflers for sale, they were bought new and were installed on his '12 GT convertible for 1 month before he decided to trade the car in.
$300 shipped, let me know if you're interested, he's not on the forums

I like loud. My 07 had the FM American Thunders on and it rattled the windows in the house. Me thinks the Roush mufflers will do nicely.

I had the dealer look up the original purchase price and the sticker said 47K. Wait 4 years and the price drops almost 25K.
