Are the fans kicking on like they should? Did you try taking the temp sensor for the fans out and putting it right behind the fan?

Fans are on
Not sure if they are on High but i assume so

I went thru the data logs before I raised the boost
the temp never went over 200 on the log.

So I dont know if I Jacked something up or its just coincidence and I have air pocket or a thermostat issue

Its frustrating
My sons car is in the garage now for a new blower and headers
So i pushed mine into the corner and covered it.
I need to step away and think about it for a while

But Ill try taking the temp sensor out when i get back to jacking with it.

Ok

So I took another look at the car tonight

I was wondering if the fans may be only coming on low, I didn’t know how much noise they should be making
So I wired in a disconnect in case I need to replace the thermal coupler

I listened to the Fans
Then I remembered my youngest son thought the fans are pushing air out not in.
But we didn’t think that could be because when you put your hand in the engine compartment you could feel what seemed to be air coming in
Well I decided to give it a smoke test, I got a cheap cigar and lit it up.sed my portable battery jumper for 12 volts and I connected the red wire to positive and the white wire to ground.
It was pushing the cigar smoke away from the car.
I put my hand in the engine bay and I could feel air, it seemed to be coming in??
So I reversed the wires, and now smoke was being drawn into the engine bay.
The only thing I can figure is the fans pushing out toward the radiator bounce back and makes it seem like air was coming in.
This is my theory. So know I need to get the car off the dollies and check it out, my sons car is still in the way, I hate to run the car up to temp in the garage.
And this still doesn’t explain why the first three logs never went over 200
But hey if this fixes it I’ll be happy

Sometimes fixing it without an explaination is just fine. Sure hope that is what does it for you. I hated to hear you were going to shove it in the corner without getting it all done.

Well I hope the fans running backwards explains it.
the more I think about the previous logs. I drove the car like 2 miles down to the church it warmed up enough that i could log it on the way back home
So then I was in the drive and looking at the logs. I really may have not drove it enough after the I got a log

I cant stand not knowing whats wrong, thats why I couldnt leave it alone.

But I need to let my son get his car done, So mine will sit for a little while till we get his done.

Well
I have not gotten back to my car yet

Been working on my sons
And we just hot snag after snag
1st set of headers didnt fit, So after wasting a week trying to sort it all out.
I finally just ordered a set from Speed Daddy they look like they will fit fine.

But the front head had a stud broken off.
We were waiting on a machinist friend to help us figure out.
But my son lost patience and started to extract it last eve.
Well he broken a fricking easy out in the hole.
So looks like we are pulling the head.
I hope his luck changes soon.

Im sure ill get to my car by the end of the month lol

Dug the car out yesterday. Temp ran at 199. After a drive I let it sit and run in the drive. Turned on the AC. It climbed to 202.

Will try logging and a few pulls today and see hat happens
Also going to try burping the lower hose

Made several logs for Lito tonight
Never got above 210 even after the pulls.

But it Smokes like a BIATCH when on boost
Im not running a restrictor, Journal Bearing turbo
I mean a lot of smoke

Open to any suggestions Im running a crankvent system and Im thinking about venting the pass side open to a catch can to see if its backpressure on boost, not allowing the turbo to drain.
the drain is 10AN to the driver side of the pan

Found out the Smoke problem
I found my PVC line on the driver side pinched under the CDC Shaker I need to make some mods , plus I was using way to soft a hose on that end to the Catch can DOHHHHh

Yeah, the more you mod the more you will always be tweeking. I still havent gotten a decent idle/driving log for lito to fix a couple small issues and it has been probably two months since we did any revisions.

HAHA But your driving :thumb:

Pulled the fuel pump out tonight What PIA

Looks like we jacked the sending unit all up putting it in. Damn float was in the box and not outside, thats why my gauge wasnt working
So Im debating about trying to bend the arm and hope it holds or swap my stock arm on the S&H pump
Or send stock pump to Jeremy and get a 465 put in it, Im 340LPH now

I think Jeremy is going to be unavailable for awhile yet. Your best bet would be to swap over your sending unit if you can I think.

Well we rolled the dice and bent the rod back in place
It wasnt as solid as the stock pump, but we used the stock pump to gauge how much to bend it

It WORKED
barely had like 3 or 4 inches of gas in that tank, car started right up, but was still on E
Drove and got 10 gallons of gas and its reading almost 3/4.
Now on to more logs for Lito
I may get to drive this car this weekend after all

I should have known better lol

Havent had a lot of time to drive the car
But it got hot here outside 95 degrees

My wife had me put new brakes on her cousins car, So I took the mustang when we dropped her cousins car back off
this was the first time I ran the car with the AC on. good drive like 10 miles.
The car was at 230 when I got to her house
I sat ion the drive way fro a few minutes while my wife took her the keys
Car didint cool down below the 230.
needless to say I was pissed as hell
So I told my wife that we would take the interstate back home
Well on the highway the car cooled down to 210.
So when I got home I let iot idle in the drive for a while.
It stayed at 210
I never put the rad cover on , as I have a new glass one we need to paint
Also the front bumper needed to come back off so I never installed the under carriage plastic, my son wonders if it isnt turbulent air flow causing the issue.
I double checked the fans AND THE ARE RUNNING FINE
So I ordered this today UView 550000 Airlift Cooling System Leak Checker and Airlock Purge Tool Kit

Im thinking its a air pocket

Those fan are junk. When I had them going the correct direction. I had temps at 230. Now that I put the stocker back in My temp never go above 200 degree. I don't see how you have an air pocket. I would just bite the bullet and put the stocker back in or buy some replacement 13' fans.
